Early C19th oak two part oak cupboard on chest / hall wardrobe

53 " wide. 72 " high. 22 " deep. Internal depth 19".
This early 19th century cupboard on chest separates into two sections: Upper and lower. It is an exceptionally heavy piece, Each section weighs around nine stone ((125 lbs.). It was made of solid oak throughout with the exception of the drawer liners and floors which are respectively made from pine and fruitwood.
The cupboard has an ample 19" internal depth for clothes hangers and has a drop of 51" - the well of the cupboard behind the three dummy drawers providing this extra height.
The quality and character of this piece is self-evident from the photos but it is also, due to the unusual internal depth -from front to back, eminently suitable for contemporary use.
There is no reason why this country oak cupboard, which is about two hundred years old, shouldn't endure for hundreds of years to come - well beyond our lifetimes.
Pieces will have been restored as necessary at our workshops whether it be a complete makeover or a cosmetic touch up.
