Circa 1900 scrubtop kitchen work table

Dimensions: 54" by 42".
30" high with the requisite 24" knee room.
The base has, since the photos were taken, been stripped and polished.
The table stands on straight tapering legs while the top, it seems, is made from only two wide cuts of mature timber!
It will seat six comfortably, and due to its width, will provide ample serving space in the centre.
Dining tables generally need to be 30" (76cms.) high with chairs having a 18" (46cms.) seat height.
Comfortable vertical knee room at a table or desk is 24" (61 cms.). If the combined total of the top and any apron supporting it is greater than 6" (15 cms.) the table will not be suitable for dining.
It is popular to use old scrubtop tables for dining so when we purchase them, we ensure that they have sufficient knee room.
